How to Set Up Forecast Consumption
To calculate time-series-based forecast consumption, you need to set up an algorithm in the SOP Operator Profiles app. The forecast consumption mode is a master data type that defines the strategy with which an organization wants to:
- Calculate forecast consumption
- Manage incoming sales orders
- Consume forecast demand
The examples below show how the forecast consumption process is applied based on the forecast consumption mode as defined in the title of each example.

Profiles for time-series-based forecast consumption define how incoming sales orders consume the forecast demand. You must set up the mode for time-series-based forecast consumption using the respective master data type.
