Detroit Tigers Strike Early to Extend Winning Streak to Four Games

Tigers Thump Colorado Rockies 7-4 for Fourth Consecutive Victory

The Detroit Tigers continued their hot streak with a 7-4 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Friday night at Coors Field. With the win, the Tigers have now won four games in a row and improved their record to 14-13 on the season.

Early Offense Powers Tigers to Victory

The Tigers wasted no time in getting on the board, scoring six runs in the top of the first inning. Robbie Grossman started the scoring with a two-run double, and Miguel Cabrera followed with an RBI single. Jonathan Schoop capped off the inning with a three-run homer, giving the Tigers an early 6-0 lead.

The Rockies chipped away at the lead with a run in the bottom of the first and two more in the fourth, but the Tigers' bullpen held on to secure the victory. Gregory Soto pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn his sixth save of the season.

Tigers' Offense Continues to Impress

The Tigers' offense has been clicking in recent games, and Friday night's victory was another example of their firepower. The team finished with 10 hits, including three doubles and a homer, and drew five walks.

Cabrera led the way with two hits and two RBIs, while Schoop and Grossman each had two hits and one RBI. Jeimer Candelario and Austin Meadows also had two hits apiece for the Tigers.

Bullpen Holds Strong to Seal Victory

The Tigers' bullpen turned in another solid performance on Friday night, allowing just one run on three hits over the final four innings. Soto was particularly impressive, striking out the side in the ninth inning to secure the save.

The bullpen's performance has been a key factor in the Tigers' recent success. The team's relievers have a 3.18 ERA in the last seven games, and they have allowed just five earned runs in their last 23 innings pitched.

Tigers Look to Continue Winning Streak on Saturday

The Tigers will look to extend their winning streak to five games when they face the Rockies again on Saturday afternoon at Coors Field. Matt Manning will start for the Tigers, while Antonio Senzatela will take the mound for the Rockies.

The Tigers have won six of their last seven games against the Rockies, and they will be looking to continue their dominance in the series on Saturday.
