Diagnosed with transverse myelitis as a teenager, a condition that paralysed her from the waist down, Kirra's unwavering determination has fueled her pursuit in swimming.

Through hard work, Kirra has not only rebuilt her life after her diagnosis but has also discovered a new passion in swimming, which has given her a sense of purpose and self-belief.
Last year, she won gold in the 100m breaststroke at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
